If you love the color blue, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!! (Note--there are some green beads, too!) I started making this wind chime by using a twisted fork. This piece will hold the rest of the chime. I tied that fork to the washer at the top which is how you will hang it. I use 15 pound line. I tie all the knots, except the one on the washer,3-4 times and then add Gorilla Glue. I leave extra line at the washer and only double tie the knot and don't use glue. Doing this will allow you to shorten or lengthen the wind chime according to where you will hang it. As it is right now, it hangs down 34". My chimes can be hung indoors or out. From the twisted fork I hung a long handled fork, a dessert/salad fork, a teaspoon and a gravy ladle. The clapper is the handle of a fork. I used a bent spoon bowl for a wind catcher, at the bottom of the chime. I love making custom chimes. If there is loss of a dog, I use a hand cut wooden bone on which I engrave their name. I can make a special new baby gift using vintage baby silverware. I use letter beads and add their name and birth date. You order can always choose the colors of the glass beads, too. I have also had customers send me some heirloom silverware, special to them, and make a chime for them ,adding names and colors of their choice.
