Vintage Chinese Carved Cinnabar Box Black Lacquer Interior Red order Asian Trinket Box

A Chinese carved cinnabar box with black lacquer interior. The top lifts off this beautifully carved box. The age of cinnabar is difficult to determine because of varying dates. This box came from a home of a World traveler who collected cinnabar and purchased in her travels. Bottom is marked China.

Box measures 5 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 order inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. The box is in good vintage condition with slight wear to the inside rim from top being taken on and off.
