A rare, miniature edition of Maximes de la Vie. Published circa 1900-1910's by Librairie Payot & Cie., Paris, in the original french
Bound in a dark blue/purple coloured suede with soft boards and rounded corners. Gilt title stamp to spine, full gilt page edges. Unique marbling to end papers in matching dark tones, inscription adjacent to title page. Art nouveau style decoration to half title, Pages are bright and largely clear, with the odd pencil marking or handling mark within.
Binding is tight and in good antique condition, binding material is only lightly worn and with odd markings but in good condition for a miniature suede-bound book of this age!
