A chunky watercolor journal...
The cover is a gorgeous thick rustic leather with a lightly distressed matte texture. I love that this piece of leather had the brand on it, making the journal one of a kind. It is subtle on the outside and more visible on the inside. I think it's pretty cool. There is an extra long matching leather tie sewn to the front. It wraps around the book a few times and tucks into the front to keep your painting and creating under wraps.
The book is filled with 120 pages (including both sides) of 140 lb. cold press Fabriano studio watercolor paper, each page hand torn for a order rustic look. This watercolor paper is thick and sturdy and has a light textured surface. The first and last page is a piece of natural color handmade lokta paper. The book is chunky and sturdy and a nice size for taking with you on your travels. I have left some extra space between the signatures in case you like to add a lot of things into your book - it will help keep it from bulging.
The book is bound with walnut brown waxed linen thread and it measures about 4-1/2" wide by 6-1/2" high.
