The title page contains an engraving of Dickens' residence at Gad's Hill. There is a 9-page publisher's catalog at the back. The book is a short biography of Dickens published shortly after his death in 1870.

Condition:
Small cloth tears at the bottom 2 corner tips. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Bright gilt lettering on the front cover and spine. Wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. Name/date (1870) neatly written on the front end paper. Light foxing to the first few and last few pages (though heavier on the frontispiece, and on the tissue guard over it). Overall a very nice copy. order
