8'' Tangerine, Amberina Blenko Crinkled Glass Compote #629 order Designed By Wayne Husted 1960's

This compote, or footed bowl was first designed by Wayne Husted. It features a crackled glass finish in a deep orange color which Blenko called “Tangerine” Commonly this color is also called Amberina, with shades from yellow to orange to red. This particular shape is #629, there are three sizes and this is order the largest one at 8'' inches tall and 7 ½'' inches wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It also glows under black light like due to the cadmium in the glass. The base glows a bright orange and it descends into the lower part of the dish. The rim also has a slight glow.
