I made this serving plate out of a high-fire stoneware slab and shaped it to an oval in the hand-built method, stamped with various textures in my studio and fired to bisque. Then I glazed it with lead free, food safe glaze and fired it again to a higher temperature of 2245 degrees F. in my kiln at my studio.
