This is a gorgeous antique French handmade velvet patchwork table runner with real gold metallic trimming and satin woven floral fabric
Early 1900s
Found in a Chateau of the South of France

Dimensions: 35.6 inches (89cm) without the fringes x 9.6 inches wide (24cm)

The table runner is in a good vintage condition, as shown on the pictures, just a few stains on the lining, nothing serious and this does not detract from the beauty of this gorgeous piece of handwork

The side borders are made of burgundy red velvet
In the middle there is a satin woven floral fabric with roses and leaves in pink, blue and green on a beige background
All surrounded by real gold metallic trimming

On the 2 end borders there are fringes in green, beige and rusty tones
It is lined in an ecru cotton

Perfect for the textile addict
You can also use the gold trim, velvet and order brocade for several period textile projects
