*Knobcone pine cones have been becoming an item for making eco friendly jewelry. I saw a video recently on jewelry made out of these cones and started reading …. These cones remain closed until they are subjected to a fire of about 375 degrees then open up to release their seeds, in natures effort to preserve their species. They are one of the densest pinecones and can withstand fire.
I have read they they were loved and revered by ancient civilizations, the seed being a symbol connected to the idea of eternal life. The spine I've read is a sacred geometrical sequence, the “Fibonacci” sequence, in both directions. I've read about it and honestly don't order quite understand it.
It is also said that it is recognized in certain circles as the “Third Eye” and opens your spiritual energy. I love crystals, reiki, nature and anything harmonious and that's why I am loving learning about the knobcone pine cone and creating with them!
