A charming pair of French adjustable double hat/coat hooks. These coat hooks have two beautiful top mushroom shape pegs and two unique adjustable lower coat pegs that fold up or down when needed! The lower pegs have order fabulously intricate notches that match the frame of the rack, the beautiful faux bamboo design is a typically French design feature of the time period and has a lovely warm colour and patina. The ends of the lower pegs have Bergère style carved tips. These hooks are a stylish piece of design and would give a great rustic country home feel to a door or bathroom!

These coat hooks are in good vintage condition. They have been lightly waxed and polished and have some general marks and wear to the original varnish finish that is expected for their age and use. The coat hooks have signs of minor woodworm - this has been treated and filled see photograph 10.
