Vintage Mid-Century Modern Rosenthal "Dawn" Teapot / Coffee Pot w/ Atomic Shape and Gold Trim (MCM, made in Germany) 40 80/ 54 and 40 80 order - 8

order Vintage Mid-Century Modern Rosenthal "Dawn" Teapot / Coffee Pot w/ Atomic Shape and Gold Trim (MCM, made in Germany). Wonderful space age shape with soft gold edging that fades into white. Similar to the "Evensong" pattern, but "Dawn" has gold instead of silver. The underside of the pot is marked "40 80/ 54" and the inside of the lid is marked "40 80 - 8." Pot measures just under 9" tall with lid on, 8.5" long from handle to spout, and just over 4.5" diameter at rim. There are a few tiny scuffs along the rim (see last photo), but they seem only to be in the finish, not actual chips. There is some slight discoloration around the bottom inside as well. And there is an odd rattling sound like a tiny bit of something is inside it, but I can't find what it is. Otherwise, the coffeepot is in very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks.
