It is rectangular in red and yellow sheet metal and contains 200 BOHIN pick-up needles. It is complete and in good condition.

The Manufacture Bohin is the last needle factory in France, which has been able to adapt to the modern world without losing its soul.
The carpentry and wooden bimbeloterie company (fancy boxes, toys) Bohin was created before 1833 in L'Aigle.
It all starts with a little boy, Benjamin Bohin, with a strong character. From the age of 8, in 1830, he worked with his father to manufacture wooden boxes but at 11 he already wanted to take over the small company to integrate mass production. Faced with his father's refusal, he tried three times to go to America. Finally the latter handles the company to his son – who is only 17 years old. And the march forward will not stop. Benjamin is a true entrepreneur, whose 19th century is passionate: he travels, he invents products, he opens factories.
For 5 generations, the Bohin will prosper this region of Normandy, known for the quality of its iron. They create needles, pins, phono needles, razor blades – anything that can be born from a flexible metal wire.
It takes 27 steps (and 2 months of work!) to create a needle – 8 to shape the material, 11 to structure the needle and 8 to control and pack them.
