This is a caterpillar-bound blank hardcover book with metallic grey-bronze covers, handmade to roughly landscape A4 size (please see below for precise dimensions). It contains 50 white, acid-free pages of Snowdon Cartridge paper (100 sides total).
The Caterpillar is a single station sewing that uses paired holes to create packed raised cords, producing an elaborate open-spine binding. It was devised by Betsy Palmer Eldridge and popularised by Keith Smith.
This book would be ideal for use as a sketchbook or guest book, or as a large notebook, scrapbook or journal. It could also be used as a personal compendium, such as a recipe book, grimoire/book of shadows, or herbal encyclopedia.

This book measures 21cm x 29.9cm x 2cm (raised stitching included). As each book is handmade, dimensions may vary slightly.
The book boards are covered with 110gsm pH neutral Eclipse paper in Lunar Crater, a mottled metallic grey-bronze finely textured paper. The interior of each board is lined with 135gsm Ebony Black Colorplan paper.

Pages are 130gsm white, matt, acid-free Snowdon Cartridge, artist-quality paper suitable for both drawing and writing.
Sewn in five sections, each containing five sheets.
