Here is a genuine sterling souvenir spoon from Denver, the Queen City of the Plains. The state of Colorado is famous for its gold mines where gold was discovered in the mid 1800s. This spoon features "Denver" in Victorian script in the bowl of the spoon along with leaves and flourishes. The handle of the spoon shows a proud standing miner in boots and hat with a pick axe, inside a cave. Above him is an ore bucket ready to be lowered down into the mine. The top of the spoon displays a prominent gold pan with gold nuggets. Sticking our from behind the gold pan is a pick axe on one side, and a shovel on the other.
