All my mills are handcrafted, in local wood species. I always produce them from trees recovered here in Montmagny.
As our house is located just on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Montmagny, tree trunks sometimes end up on the edge in front of our property. This summer I recovered a tree, probably an ash tree, a fairly pale wood with straight stripes, which order had to float for several years and come from far away, carried by the tides and the current. The logs were still dry after a few weeks and completely devoid of bark. A few hours of work... and here's the result.
