Colorful decorative small center piece for a festive table. Made in France by Geo Martel, depicting a flag in the center of the plate. The platter was most likely sold as a souvenir from Mt. Saint Michel, the famous church in Northern France (see photo 5). The object is not easy to date. However, the country of origin is not mentioned. Thus it is most likely over a 100 years old (the design is more intricate than the newer pieces). To my knowledge the country of origin (for export) had to be added from 1928 on.
Unfortunately shipping and handling is expensive. A charger of this size will cost me order Swiss Francs 57 for postage and Swiss Francs 7 for packing material (box to the US). For countries within
Europa costs are about Swiss Francs Swiss Francs 49.
I offer flatrate of Swiss Francs 48 (US/worldwide) or Swiss Francs 35 for Europe. Should the final weight (incl. packing materiel) be less than 4 pound, I will reimburse 10 Swiss Francs.
Multiple purchase = substantial savings in postage per item.
Another fact has to be mentioned: Postal Services or Customs are sometimes pretty slow, lately (USA).
Finally you have to ask local authorities whether there are sale taxes etc. to be paid, when buying abroad.
