The loss of a beloved pet is undoubtedly a difficult experience to go through. My hope is that this custom work of art will allow your pet's memory to live on as a touching reminder of the print they left on your life.

Created from a scan or photo provided from your beloved pet's paw, I will create a timeless memorial to be treasured forever. This painting is one of a kind, and you are able to choose the color scheme (ex. cool, warm, 2-3 specific colors, grey, etc.). I then hand letter your pet's name within the recreated paw shape. The final paining becomes a one-of-a-kind memorial honoring the love and companionship that will never be forgotten.

Details On Ordering:

In the PERSONALIZATION section while ordering please list:
•Pet's name to be remembered check spelling (ScottMartinArt is not responsible for spelling errors).
•2-3 color choices listed with name and number of each. Please refer to Listing Image 10 (Color Swatch Chart).
•Any other information can be entered in the “notes to artist” section during checkout.
•After your order is complete, please upload (VIA Etsy Conversations) a high quality .jpg of your pet's paw print using the pet's name AND your name as the title (EX: ripley-scottmartin.jpg).
oPreferred Method: A 300dpi scan of the plaster cast of your pet's paw.
oA high quality, crisp, and CLEAR photo of the paw print from a straight on angle.
oA 300dpi scan of an ink print of your pet's paw.

Just a few notes from the Artist:

•Please be aware that the colors chosen will vary and blend together during the watercolor painting process. Because this is a one-of-a-kind piece, every outcome will vary slightly. The differing outcomes are one of the desired effects. Each of our pets were just as different even if they were a similar breed!
•The actual area of the painting measures 6” x 6” and will be matted using an order acid free off-white board for a final size of 12” x 12”.
•Due to the lightfast nature of watercolor paint, I recommend a few simple precautions to ensure the life of your work of art and prevent fading from sunlight.
oTry to hang in a spot that does not receive prolonged periods of direct sunlight.
oThe artist recommends professional framing using a UV resistant glass. Most off-the-shelf frames DO NOT use a glass that filters out UV rays.
•Please understand that I will be creating this piece from the photo of your pet's paw that YOU provide. I will not use someone else's pet and pass it off as yours, so the higher the quality image of the paw print you provide, the closer to exact I can get for your memorial piece.
•If I have any questions or concerns about the image provided, I will reach out to you directly through Etsy conversations. However, please note that this extra communication may delay the processing time and promised delivery window.
•If, together, we are unable to provide an adequate image of the paw print for me to work from, I will gladly refund your purchase fully.
•This item comes matted but NOT FRAMED.
•Your final painting is shipped between flat corrugated cardboard larger than the matted piece to protect the corners and edges.


Finally, I just want to thank you for the opportunity to create this lasting tribute for your gone-but-not-forgotten friend. I am a dog lover. I have felt the loss as well. I understand how important they were to you. That said, I will NOT think of your custom piece as just another painting. Even though I currently have another amazing & loyal dog, Murphy hanging around the studio, I do still miss Ripley (A few of the listing Images are of her, and my own personal tribute to her). I would be honored to create this memorial for your loved one.
