Tibetan manicure set also used for ear cleaning. Purchased in Tibet in 2000 at market outside Potola Palace. Approximate age 75 years or more based on what the seller told me. Material could be silver but not positive, more a silver mix of some kind. Weight is 3.3 ounces. overall length is 19". item is met to be worn on a waist band or belt of some sort, according to the styles of the time as robes were common for men and women to wear.
the chain hooks to a small snow lion and then hooks to a larger two sided snow lion with 5 implements hanging from it order. One implement looks like a small dagger - not sharp, does not carry an edge. One implement has a hole through it and is thought to be the instrument used for cleaning wax out of your ears. The other 3 implements look to be cuticle pushers of some sort. The entire piece has been sterilized using alcohol. Since purchased, it has not been used other than ornamentation.
THIS ITEM IS ALSO LISTED ON EBAY. IT WILL BE REMOVED IF THERE IS AN ACCEPTABLE BID. THANK YOU.
