What is cubic zirconia (cz stones) ?
The stone we used on our jewelry called "Cubic Zirconia", which was discovered by 2 german mineralogists in 30's, and yet to be found again since then. Due to its rareness, all cubic zirconia in the market, including those from Swarovski, are created in laboratory, which shared the same chemical composition with real CZ.
CZ is well known as a subsitute of diamond. It look almost identical to diamond to untrained people. Although with slightly less sparkle than diamond, it contains more fire and flashes of color. The hardness of CZ is 8.5 on the moh's scale whereas diamond is 10. It is 75% heavier than diamond.
The cubic zirconia we used is produced with a special coating called DLC ( diamond like carbon). It is consisted of a material "Amorphous Carbon", which displays the typical properties of diamond. Therefore, our CZ stone looks more alike to diamond, and is more resistent to corrosion and friction.
