Wrap/Scarf, Hand Felted, order Cobweb Felt, Bright Blue and Dark Blue Merino, trimmed with tiny glass beads

This beautifully soft, lightweight wrap/scarf is lovely and warm as a scarf, without being bulky, and in the summer evenings it is light enough to throw over your shoulders.

Made from deep violet and deep blue merino and trimmed with tiny beads along the short edges.

Very simple,and beautiful.

Felt is an amazing medium that can be made to be as fine as a cobweb, or strong enough to hold its shape. Made from layers of wisps of wool, each piece is individually formed in a time consuming and quite physical process, whether it is wet felted or needle felted. Other natural fibres and fabrics can be bonded into the wool fibres during the process. When the piece is shaped and dried, the decoration is added, carefully and painstakingly by hand. Because of this, no two pieces are the same.
