Needle Felted Owl, Felted Wildlife, Gray Owl, Thanksgiving Decor
This needle felted owl with his crazy ear tufts, was inspired by a very handsome and regal Maine coon cat that I recently met at the hospital where I work. He stands 9 inches tall, and his face is 5 inches wide. His tufts measure 10 inches from tip to tip. His head can be tilted to either side and or turned gently since he has a wire armature.
This owl is not suitable as a toy for small or young children. Please also keep felted creations away from pets as they can be very tempting to chew.
**Needle felting is the order process of interlocking wool and or other fibers by stabbing the fibers repeatedly with a specially crafted (and very sharp) barbed needle. The barbs catch the fibers causing them to tangle, interlock and become woven together. It can take thousands of stabs and many hours to complete a single sculpture. Needle Felting is a sculpting technique that requires a lot of patience and time to complete even a small sculpture. **
